Marc Johnson
Designer
As a designer with a construction background, Marc is a detail-oriented designer who appreciates how creative outcomes can be achieved using practical methods. He has worked in market sectors that include Multi-Family, Commercial, Civic, Hospitality, and Education design and construction.
Marc was born and raised in Northern Colorado, where his interest in architecture was sparked by walking through homes under construction with his dad (mostly on Sundays when the coast was clear). As a teenager, his parents let him take on home projects too big to chew, but in turn, it became a great learning opportunity to understand the construction basics. This all inspired him to pursue an education in architecture, where he received a Bachelor of Environmental Design at CU-Boulder and, after graduation, entered the Construction Management field. After a few years as a Project Engineer, Marc was yearning to get back to design, and as luck would have it, the rest is history!
Having not learned his lesson, Marc still bites off projects too big to chew but continues to learn despite that fact. In his free time, Marc loves spending time with his wife, Kaya, and their two young boys.
