Infusion Architects Celebrates Completion of Severance’s First-Ever Police Station
Windsor, Colo. – February 14, 2025 – Infusion Architects is honored to announce the successful completion of the new Severance Police Department headquarters, a historic milestone for the town as it establishes its first-ever dedicated law enforcement facility. As the architectural firm entrusted with designing this vital community asset, we take immense pride in contributing to a project that enhances public safety and supports the dedicated officers of Severance.
For over a century, Severance has grown and evolved without a permanent police station. Since the department’s formation in 2018, officers have operated from various locations, including Town Hall and a repurposed fire station. Now, with the completion of this purpose-built 4,000-square-foot facility, the town has made a long-term investment in its law enforcement infrastructure.
“This project represents more than just a new building—it’s a commitment to the safety and well-being of Severance residents,” said Police Chief Ken Chavez. “Infusion Architects has brought our vision to life, designing a facility that will serve our community for generations to come.”
The new station, completed on time and within budget in December 2024, features essential amenities, including holding cells, interview rooms, and a public lobby. The project was managed efficiently, allowing additional features to be included while staying within budget. The new facility provides officers with the tools and space they need to better serve the growing population of Severance.

“At Infusion Architects, we believe in designing spaces that are both functional and inspiring,” said Melissa Lanning, Lead Project Manager at Infusion Architects. “Our team worked closely with town officials and law enforcement to create a station that not only meets the operational needs of the police department but also integrates seamlessly into the fabric of the community.”

The project was first conceptualized in 2021, with funding secured in 2022 and design work commencing in 2023. Now complete, the new police station stands as a symbol of progress, reinforcing Severance’s commitment to public safety and community development.
Beyond its function as a law enforcement hub, the station is expected to serve as a catalyst for further development in downtown Severance. Local officials hope that its presence, alongside the new public works building, will encourage additional investment in the area.
Infusion Architects is proud to have played a role in shaping the future of Severance, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact this facility will have on the community.
