Mead Police Station

For nine years, Mead’s Police Department operated out of a triple-wide trailer — a stopgap solution that quietly became a crisis. What started as a four-person department in 2017 had grown to 20 officers by 2025, handling nearly three times the call volume with no additional space to show for it. The Town turned to Infusion Architects to understand the “why” behind the need and to design a facility built to address it.

Infusion worked closely with Department leadership to analyze site options and space needs, resulting in a purpose-built, 19,000 SF single-story facility designed to serve as a full-service law enforcement hub for decades to come.

The building delivers everything the trailer could never provide: a welcoming public lobby, private victim spaces, compliant interview rooms, a sally port, forensics and crime lab, evidence storage, an armory, and an integrated Emergency Operations Center for coordinated response with fire, EMS, schools, and county partners. Dedicated training rooms, a locker room, and both interior and outdoor fitness areas support officer wellness and reduce reliance on outside facilities. The facility accommodates up to 50 personnel, with site capacity for a future 10,000 SF expansion as Mead continues to grow.

This is more than a building. It’s the foundation Mead’s officers and community have been waiting for.
