As the Town of Platteville continued to grow, its Police Department had outgrown a facility that could no longer support the demands of modern law enforcement. The Town turned to Infusion Architects to understand the “why” behind the need and to design a facility built to address it.
The result is a purpose-built 5,000 SF municipal police station at 400 Grand Avenue, designed to serve as a professional law enforcement hub for Platteville for decades to come. The building brings together all the functions a modern department requires. A secure lobby and vestibule welcome the public, while technology-integrated interview rooms, evidence processing and storage, an armory, and a sally port support daily operations. Administrative spaces include a chief’s office and open office environments, and a dedicated wellness area supports officer health and retention. Specialized security and locker systems throughout the building ensure safe, efficient separation of public, staff, and operational areas. The station stands as a civic landmark and a visible commitment to the officers who serve Platteville and the community they protect.
